Project Description

Mulholland Building Services were commissioned to design mechanical and electrical services for the Wildlife Trust’s new visitor centre and café. The existing buildings are to be partially demolished and with elements retained and refurbished. Following completion of the refurbishment, a bespoke building is to be manufactured off site, transported to site, installed and inter-connected with the existing.

All these works are to be carried out with the site still operational. As the site is a wildlife reserve, particular care and consideration has gone into the building services so as not to have an adverse effect on the surrounding environment.

Due to the remote location of the site, energy usage and utility connections are paramount. As such, the building has been designed to minimise energy usage.
