Project Description
University Hospital Coventry is run and managed by Vinci Services. In a live hospital it was found that toilets were in some instances being underutilised and that there was a distinct lack of bed space.
The team were asked to design mechanical and electrical services for the remodelling of 26 bedrooms / bathrooms and toilets.
- Some were changed to bedrooms.
- Some had baths removed and were changed to shower rooms
- Some were changed to allow day spaces to be extended
- Others were provided with new sanitaryware
The works which were needed comprised a full review of the mechanical and electrical services. These were then modified to provide the new requirements.
The rooms were spread out over a number of floors and wards, as such multiple connection points and systems needed to be dynamically studied and modified.
